Trent to Trenches marks the start of the First World

War 1914 to 1918 at Rufford Country Abby Park in Nottinghamshire on the 28th and 29th of June 2014.

A special commemorative event, staged exactly 100 years to the day after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, whose death acted as the catalyst for the start of the Great War. The weekend is a highlight of Trent to Trenches, a major programme of events, exhibitions and activities taking place in the City of Nottingham and across Nottinghamshire during 2014.
