The Midsummer Fair on US Airborne were billeted in the village and on the eve of D Day. Both the 82nd and 101st Airborne flew from the nearby RAF Witham into battle. The 1940's are brought alive with Living History, Re-enaction and music and song.nday June 23rd takes the village back to the days of World War Two when US Paratroops from the 82nd
